Financing Partners' Deal Symposium introduces investors to pre-screened opportunities within specific industry sectors. Currently Financing Partners focuses on Seed/Series A opportunities within the Enterprise Software, Communications, Life Science/Biotech and Semiconductor industries. Each month Financing Partners reviews and evaluates deals across all of these industries so as to identify the top emerging technology companies in Silicon Valley today. Our Deal Review committee consists of industry experts with an extensive background in both finance and operations in the VC community. To learn more about our individual members, please click here.

Financing Partners specializes in maintaining ongoing relationships with entrepreneurs and investors alike. Our symposium is simply the first step in ensuring that emerging technology companies effectively identify and locate their capital requirements so as to move on to the next level of success.

The Process

Each company submission is reviewed by Financing Partners on the same basis that most investors would evaluate a company for investment. Key factors include the technology, market opportunity, team, barriers to entry, financiability and so on. Upon completion of this review, Financing Partners will invite the top companies to present their opportunity to attending investors at the next appropriate Deal Symposium.

To be considered as a presenting company, please complete our online submission form or email your executive summary to ent@financincingpartners.com. Each company that applies to Financing Partners receives written feedback on their review as well as detailed information concerning next steps in the process. There is no cost for applying to our Symposium program if your company is pre-revenue. For those companies that have progressed beyond this stage, there is a $49 processing fee due upon time of submission to cover our costs. If the company is invited to present at the symposium, the $49 submission fee is credited toward the total cost of presenting which is a flat $299. Limited scholarship opportunities are available for exceptional companies that are unable to pay the presentation fee. If you require this type of assistance, please indicate that to us on your initial company submission. Please note Financing Partners does not get involved with finder’s fees or warrants; our purpose in creating the symposium program was to connect the right investors with the right deals.

The Symposium

The symposium is a closed event open only to invited companies and investors. Financing Partners invites only the top companies to present at each Deal Symposium. Presenting companies are allotted a 25-minute pre-set time slot to introduce themselves to attending investors; the first 15-minutes are for the prepared presentation and the last 10-minutes are held for Q&A. Attending investors provides feedback on each of the reviewed deals so that presenting companies can further refine their pitch and better understand their target audience.

Access Information

Participating companies receive complete feedback on how they were received by attending investors as well as a contact list of all attendees so as to encourage follow up opportunities and meetings.

Post-presentation, we will continue to offer assistance on the investment process by reviewing materials, identifying additional funding opportunities, and making introductions to qualified firms.

Our commitment to companies in the Deal Symposium program is that we will remain with you as an investment advisor until such time as you have reached your funding goals and objectives. In return, we ask that companies invited to participate in this course remain committed to the program and provide us with the necessary time and support. During the last half of 2006, an average of one in three deals received funding by presenting at our monthly Investor Deal Symposium. So the chances of success in fundraising are rather good, if you make it through the initial screening phase.
